The Earthchild Project 3rd annual Teachers Wellness Convention

Earthchild Projects’ 3rd annual Teachers Wellness Convention was held on Saturday 24 February 2018, and it was a huge success. With workshops ranging from healthy cooking demo’s to stress management, hormone balancing techniques, water saving tips and advice on how to follow your purpose and passion, the day was packed with wellness and holistic living education. For those who wanted to move, there was beginners yoga, nia and 5 rhythms dance, as well as laughter yoga – literally something for everyone. Top it all off with a massage, a beautiful space to relax and read a magazine, and a deliciously healthy vegetarian lunch – for the 250+ teachers who attended, it truly was a day of pampering.

A reigning highlight for the teachers on the day was massage (and we can’t blame them!) learning to manage stress, discovering ones true passion, and – of course – yoga.

All of the teachers went home with a goodie bag full of treats from our sponsor, Truworths, as well as donations from Nature Fresh, Down To Earth, Kalyan and Thulsi Tea, Wellness Warehouse, Women’s Health, Kangol, Naturally Nice and more…a lovely way to honour and celebrate those who give endlessly of themselves to educate and empower our future generations.

When reading through the feedback forms recently, we were delighted to discover that most teachers were thrilled with the knowledge that they had gained and were excited to put this into practice at home in their own lives, and to encourage their friends and family to live a healthier, happier, more holistic lifestyle! Here’s what some fulfilled participants had to say about their experience;

“The yoga and massage was unreal for me. I haven’t done those before. My body has never felt so good. I loved it!”

“I’ve learnt how to improve my lifestyle physically, spiritually and emotionally, by living healthily and taking time for myself”

“I’ve learnt to take time to figure out my purpose. To get away from the hustle through a practice of meditation.”

We love watching this event grow from strength to strength as we reach even more teachers with wellness education, self-care, nutritional knowledge and pampering.
