On 14 May, Earthchild Project officially launched the Earthchild Project Classroom at Harmony Primary School in Lavender Hill – a joyful, nurturing space brought to life through the generosity and shared vision of our donors, The Yope Foundation.

We’re proud to see our work featured on eNCA highlighting the launch of the classroom. Watch as Janna shares why safe spaces like this matter.

The Yope Foundation empowers the next-generation of founders to build themselves and their ventures into exceptional forces for change in the world. This partnership is fitting as our classroom provides a safe and inspiring place for children to explore who they are, discover their strengths, and learn how to navigate their world with calm and confidence. Thanks to Yope, thousands of young learners will benefit from the kind of holistic support that helps them not only succeed in school, but thrive in life.

This launch is especially meaningful as it comes during Child Protection Month. In communities like Lavender Hill, where children face daily uncertainty, the need for safe, nurturing spaces where they feel seen, heard, and supported cannot be overstated. This classroom is our response by providing a space that offers stability, possibility, and hope.

Here, children are learning that leadership isn’t about power or position, but that it starts with presence. With learning how to breathe deeply through difficulty. With understanding emotions, making kind choices, and recognising their own inner strength.

As the Harmony Primary Principal, Mrs Manasse, shared at the launch:

“This new classroom is more than just a space. It represents opportunity and represents growth and the future of our children. It stands as a symbol of our collective effort in providing quality education for our children. As we open the doors to this new beautiful space, we also open the doors to new possibilities for our children where they have an opportunity to dream, to explore, and to thrive. ”

Together with Yope, we are creating opportunities for children to live happier, more connected lives. Together, we are showing what’s possible when partnership is rooted in trust, purpose, and a shared belief in children’s potential.
