Period poverty is one of the most overlooked barriers to education for girls in under-resourced communities. Without access to safe and sustainable menstrual products, many girls are forced to miss school – a reality that affects their education, confidence, and future opportunities.
Through our Crown Sisters Clubs, we’re tackling this challenge head-on. Thanks to the generosity of our ambassador Tamsin Sheehy and The Shala – Cape Town Yoga School, every girl in the programme has now received a Safepad South Africa reusable, antimicrobial sanitary pad pack.
This simple yet powerful intervention means fewer days missed, greater dignity, and the freedom to focus on learning.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who donated to this fundraiser through The Shala. Ending period poverty is not just about health – it’s about equality, opportunity, and human rights.
If you’d like to be part of this change, we invite individuals, businesses, and partners to join us in keeping girls in school and creating systemic impact.
