At the end of 2026, Earthchild Project turns 20. (A sentence that still takes a moment to land.)

Back at the end of 2006, when I had the initial idea for this project and first met Noks and Lisa, I don’t think I ever imagined that all three of us would be where we are today. The vision came from a very sincere, simple and heartfelt belief: that to address the root causes of the challenges we face, we need to reconnect – with ourselves, with each other, and with the earth – and that this work begins with children.

Because of this milestone, we’ve decided not to limit the celebration to a single moment. Instead, we’re taking the whole of our 20th year to pause, reflect, and celebrate.

This year is about slowing down enough to look back and ask meaningful questions:
What were the turning points?
What decisions shaped our growth?
What lessons did the challenges teach us, and how can they inform our next chapter?

In many ways, this organisation has always been a community, an extended Earthchild Project family. And so this is also a year to honour the many incredible individuals who have shaped who we are today – team members, teachers, donors, partners, volunteers, and friends.  Many are still involved, some were part of earlier chapters, all are deeply woven into this journey. We want to remember, acknowledge, and tell those stories.

And of course, this is also a year to celebrate!

To celebrate the milestones along the way.
To celebrate the resilience, creativity, and dedication that has carried us through.
And to celebrate arriving at this moment – 20 YEARS – still learning and growing, still deeply connected and committed to our vision.

To everyone who has been part of the Earthchild Project journey in any way: thank you. This year is for you too.

Here’s to twenty years, and to taking the time to truly feel what that means.
